Homestead on the point of collapse due to disorganization and columns, heaps, piles, infills of clutter and debris.
I've been at junior high and high school this past week. I am dismayed by how much I have not read.
As usual, I learn more from the kids than anyone else.

Student #1: "Really, Mrs. P, you NEED to read these Warriors books."

Me: I saw this (I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You) was on the Lone Star list, is it good?
Student #2: You haven't read this yet?
Oh it is SOOO...good. You have GOT to read this.

"Hi, you are back.
Have you read Twilight yet?"
Have you read Twilight yet?"
Me: "Uh, no, not yet."

an hour later

"Are you reading Twilight?"
Me: "Uh, no, cataloging these books here.
Oh, thanks, I will read this copy that you just put on the desk in front of me."

I LOVE your bossy reading fans, just love them.
I'll be interested in whether or not you like the whole Twilight thing, have heard lots of pros and cons as I prepare to read Eclipse!
I will let you know about Twilight. I'm not usually a vampire story fan but EVERYONE says..."Oh, it is more than that."
This teacher told me there is a reading group of jr. high teachers that get together semi-regularly to discuss the books. She, herself, took a trip to Seattle and Washington this past summer to visit landmarks from the book. She is a "grown up."
I think that is amazing.
i liked twilight ok. didn't love it, but enjoyed it well enough. my students, on the other hand, LUV LUV LUV it. can't keep any of the books on my classroom library shelves. it's one of those mysterious "kid hits" to me....I don't really get it, but don't really care. they're getting lots of kids reading lots more than they would be otherwise....
I'm having a hard time getting into the first Warriors book. A friend who shares similar taste in books sent it to me, so I know there has to be something to it, but I haven't found it yet...
I'm not familiar with the Warriors books; will have to look into them. I love your bossy readers, too! Did you complete your assignment?
I actually haven't finished it yet. I felt badly when the teacher came by to check on me today. I am still reading though. We had a busy weekend!
I read Twilight and New Moon - Eclipse is staring at me from my nightstand and it won't be long ...
But I didn't read Warriors. Hmmm, have heard a bit about it.
Now you have to post what you think of Twilight when you're done!
