with JK herself on her website. There are sections for News, Rumors(this is fun), Biography, and other stuff. You will need Flash to view the site. You may also have to hold down your Ctrl key if you have a pop-up blocker. The site is kinda weird but kinda cool too. Take some time and move your cursor over EVERYTHING. She is putting clues about books 6 and 7 on the site. Oh, she also includes the story (ballad) of how Nearly Headless Nick lost his head (nearly.) Her sense of humor is wonderful.

I am a 58 year-old grandmother from Omaha, Nebraska, USA. As a kid-at-heart...I love your stories. I have been re-reading your books...alas...I am not like the young and can remember all of Harry's previous adventures. Last night as I was reading "The Prisoner of Azkaban, page 187, I couldn't help but think, that as Professor Lupin described the Dementors it made me think of the present day media...ie TV, print, and radio. I try to avoid their caustic stories as much as possible anymore as they totally can suck the joy, peace and love right out of my life. My question...was the media your inspiration for the Dementors?
