Wallace & Gromit drive Cheese sales

NPR reports:

Stinking Bishop cheese is in the crosshairs of immense popularity because of the new Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Wallace's passion for this cheese could catapult it to instant fame.

The cheesemaker Charles Martell of Gloucestershire says he is not prepared for the high demand for his cheese that has already been generated by the movie.

Bob Mondello reviews the movie here.
We hope to see it this weekend when we travel north to see the other entlings tomorrow.

A description of Stinking Bishop can be found here.

I can't believe these movies effect cheese sales! That is so funny :)

I finally got to see the W&G today - got back about half an hour ago ! Brilliant film - quite the punniest film I ever saw... The friend with whom I went and I spent ages afterwards naming all the "homage" moments (we're sad like that !)

I'm off to see "Corpse Bride" next week, and "Nanny McPhee" the week afterwards (birthday treat that one) - thank goodness for Orange Wednesdays ! (The phone network do a 2-for-1 offer on cinema tickets on Wednesday nights, thus enabling me to get tickets at half price...)
