During his 30-year career as a children's book publisher, Klaus Flugge received almost 100 beautifully illustrated envelopes by artists including Posy Simmonds, Tony Ross and Axel Scheffler. Here he introduces some of his favourites

Makes one long for letters on paper, does it not? Email is so ... bland, in comparison.

Those are so cool!! Thanks for the link. My husband is going to use it in his art appreciation class.

It's also making us want to create and print our own creative envelopes...if only we had the time.
