The word moot is an archaic term meaning "argue, debate, discuss." In early English history, a moot was a meeting to discuss local affairs. Moot comes from the Old English gemot, meaning "meeting."

So Much to Do...
Thanks to Eric Luper's Random Musings I cannot stop doing THIS! I did not need to know about this. Must stop ... must....stooooooppp...
Now that looks like a fun accompaniment to "Action Jackson" by Jan Greenberg (hate the title, love the book) for the kids, especially when we're out of paint for the real version! Thanks, Camille!
