- The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
- I think I will see if entling no. 3 will read along with me.
- The Giver
- something I hear or read reminds me of this book at least once a week.
- The Eagle of the Ninth
- The Hobbit
- all the movie talk reminds me how much I have forgotten about the book. Can I imagine Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield?
I just put the BBC's audio version of The Hobbit on my mp3 player, and have been thinking i should re-read good ol' Huck as well. Great minds, and all that. : )
ReplyDeleteSo many books, so little time....
I'd like to re-read The Giver as well, especially given how popular dystopian fiction has become lately. It seems to come up a lot in reviews these days. I'm also hoping to read The Hobbit for the first time this year.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Didn't like the Giver. Well-written, etc, but creeped me out...
ReplyDeleteI re-read the Hobbit annually. Never have read Eagle of the Ninth...love old Huck!
it's nice when the entlings read along or at a connected time, so one can have discussions :)
The Giver DOES creep us out. It occurred to me that the new expurgated version of Huck Finn would be the version that Jonas would be reading in The Giver.
ReplyDeleteI adore Huck until Tom Sawyer butts in at the end.
