The word moot is an archaic term meaning "argue, debate, discuss." In early English history, a moot was a meeting to discuss local affairs. Moot comes from the Old English gemot, meaning "meeting."

Book 1: The Red Pyramid
HahahahahahahahahA! Well, here is some advice to people who are starting a reading challenge. Do NOT enjoy a delicious margarita with delicious dinner before starting a reading challenge.
The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. Hyperion, 2010
Time read: 1hr 30 min. -- then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Pages read: 119 DNF
Glad it was a HahahahahahA, rather than a sad sigh - but was it more the margarita or the book that sent you off to sleep? I was planning to get The Red Pyramid for one of my Challenge reads, but they'd sold out in the bookshop.
I fell asleep, too, but did manage to finish it the next day. It slowed me down, though. You've spent a comparable amount of time reading but have more books reviewed than I do. Good for you! I am going to look for Mitali Perkins' book!

ReplyDeleteOh, OOPS!
