The word moot is an archaic term meaning "argue, debate, discuss." In early English history, a moot was a meeting to discuss local affairs. Moot comes from the Old English gemot, meaning "meeting."

Loved this video from FIRST SECOND "Drawing with Water."
See how Emmanuel Guibert created the art for his graphic novel ALAN'S WAR.
My speakers don't work, so I always have to track down a set of headphones if I want to watch video, and I'm so glad I watched this one! I read and loved Alan's War, but am further in awe of Guibert after seeing this. Wow.
And First Second puts out quality books. Beautiful and well made.

HOLY COW!! That is so cool! I've seen this book, but it didn't occur to me to think about how it was drawn.
