It looks like a good movie from the trailer (I still have to read the books, btw - my older daughter read them all, but the younger one & I haven't read them yet). Helen Mirren looks awesome once her hair's down!

Kelly and LadyTink, I have only read Inkheart. i need to read Inkspell. The trailer gives me hope for the movie. I do think Helen Mirren looks like Gandalf in LOTR, charging forward on his horse. She is even holding a staff!
I haven't read Inkspell either that's why I was going to re-read Inkheart.
I talked to Cornelia Funke a few years ago in an online author chat. She was answering questions with Holly Black. She was very nice but I didn't know her work at the time (I was there for Black).
hey i love Inkheart and Inkspell my mom first brought the book home and when she was done i read it faster that she did its was awesome! i was a lil disappointed when i found out who was playing the parts i had always Farid with curly hair Meggie with brown hair and Elinor a little different. By the way im thirteen and i cant wait til the movie comes out my mom is taking me to see it she hasnt yet read the 2nd one but im making her!
