Weasleys' car is stolen

The turquoise 1962 Ford Anglia that flew Harry and Ron to Hogwarts in the movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, has been stolen.
"Police said the rusting Ford Anglia, registration 7990 TD, went missing from the South West Film Studios in St Agnes on Wednesday night...

...It is believed that the vehicle could not have been driven therefore it is suspected that it would have to have been towed or lifted from the scene."

    Yes, it did develop a mind of its own after it escaped into the forest. Maybe a life in captivity simply did not agree with the Anglia.
